Sean O'Neal Allen, Sr.

            Mr. Sean O’Neal Allen Sr., 55, of Youngstown, departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with his family at his side.

            Mr. Allen was born September 11, 1970 in Deep Water, West Virginia, a son of Levoid Ross and Yvonne Allen.  He was a 1988 graduate of East High School.  After graduating, he joined the U. S. Army and was awarded several medals of honor.   Sean had been employed by the AARCO Construction Company for over 15 years, and with the Juvenile Justice Center for over 7 years.  He was a former member of the Kimmelbrook Baptist Church; and loved playing video games, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and was a die-hard Cleveland Cavaliers and San Francisco 49ers fan.

            He leaves to mourn his passing, but to celebrate his life and legacy, three children, Shawnice (Lilton) Morris, Sean Allen Jr., and Malia Allen all of Youngstown; six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Amari, Nasir, Sean III, Nylan, Nalani; his sister, Jo’Byna Allen of Youngstown; nieces, RaShonda Gray and Aq’taviece McDowell; his significant other, Mia McGee; and a host of loving family and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his parents.

            Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m.  Services will be begin promptly at 3:00 p.m.
