Ola Mae Anderson

            Ms. Ola Mae Anderson, 73 of Youngstown, transition to her heavenly home, on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

            Mrs. Anderson was born October 19, 1952 in Brent, Alabama, a daughter of R. D. and Marie Hornbuckle Anderson.  She was a 1971 graduate of East High School.  Ola was employed with Brentwood Originals as a packer for over 25 years, and was presently employed.  She was a former member of Alpha and Omega First Baptist Church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the casino, sewing, music, dancing, shopping, traveling, and played softball.

            Ola leaves to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her life and legacy, her son, Maurice Anderson of Youngstown, OH; her granddaughter, Aniyah Walton of Virginia; two sisters, Maria Williams and Bettie (Dwayne) Shinn both of Youngstown; two brothers, R. D. Anderson Jr. of Florida, and Jesse Anderson of Dayton, OH; her dear friend and father of her son, John Dozier of Youngstown; an aunt, Rosa Hornbuckle of Youngstown; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

            Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Leonard Anderson, Ossie Anderson Sr., Mary Walrond, and Ray C. Anderson Sr.

            Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home, 1951 McGuffey Road, Youngstown, OH.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:00 noon.
